The current war in the mideast is generating al lot of newsprint. Lost of pictures of M4's with LAM's and Aimpoint red dots.

These red dots are proving to be a part of a serviceman's war equipment. In the older days the red dots were relatively obscure, mostly used by competition shooters. Today, their roles have expanded greatly as a practical wartime implement.

What do you think will be the future development of this product?

They are issuing them as quickly as they can procure them. Fast accurate target acquisition is the name of the game and that's exactly what the red dot or holographic sights do! There going to be with us for a long time.
