I'm wondering if any of you have found this to be true of your revolvers in general or more so on your 642's.

After purchasing my 642 (my first and only wheel-gun so far) I was playing with it, dry-firing and generally getting used to the gun. I thought I saw something while dry-firing. It looked like a static spark going between the frame and cylinder. So I went into a closet (I double checked empty before pulling the trigger in the dark don't worry) and wouldn't you know, that's exactly what it was doing! Not every time but 2 or 3 out of five my revolver does this. Is this normal?

I have been shooting wheel guns for 40+ years. To be honest I never looked. When I pull the trigger my eyes are on the front sight, NOT the cylinder.

Mine did too. Nice party trick until you forget it's loaded :what:.

Then you'll have a spark followed instantly by a flame!!!

Thanks for the replies guys. I've spent considerable time in the 642 club thread and it has been a great help as well.

Thanks again and stay on the high road!
