I just purchased a Wilson case gage for checking my 223 rounds but after reading the instructions I am a little confused.
Anyone here know what the proper procedure is? They refer to checkinbg the case head with some type of straight edge.
Thanks!

Drop the case in and put a ruler/straight edge/straight piece of metal across the case head. If the case head is not extended past the ruler or below the lowest point, your shoulder is good to go. Flip it over, set it on a table, and use the rule to go across the other side of the gage. If the neck is not touching the ruler or below the lowest point on the gage, the overall length of the brass is good. If the case drops in and out of the gage smoothly, it should fit in most any rifle.

And a really good one, at least picture wise...
