So I normally carry Federal Hydrashok in my CCW peace (S&W 442).
I normally have it in the pocket. OWB, and tomorrow i'll start with ankle rig: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=3725564#post3725564

What's the lifetime of the ammo in such conditions.
Also, i bought some Remington .38 Special +P Gold Saber, i think. Any oppinions on this brand? Reliability? Especially in humid climate like S. FL.... I live 150 yards from the ocean. The water is in the air.

I tend to pop off the rounds I have had for more then 3 months in my carry piece. No real reason behind this for me.

Like Pacman, I expend my carry ammo at the range after a few months. There's no good reason for it. I dunno. Just makes me feel better. And that's part of the point, isn't it? ;)

Living it what has been called the subburbs of Haities, 25+ yo ammo I've found sitting in my garage has worked perfectly despite a bit of white lead oxide on the exposed non-jacketed noses of some JHP & JSP rounds.

my father's revolver has had the same ammo loaded for at least 20 years. At some point I'll have the answer to this question for sure when I get him to take it to the range and shoot the thing.
