Another newly, ok to be armed out of the house Oregonian and U.S. citizen here. Wow! That was fast. 17 days from when I got printed to when they printed the form letter with my name on it. Got the CHL card today, 6 days later (calendar days).

Now I need to read all the handgun forums for proper CCW piece, holsters and to look in to more serious training.

CHL - very sobering thought. I'm fairly sober in my thought anyway. Wow......

U.S. Citizenship (ok I was a bit slow on my part for this one), then a CHL (not slow on my part). America, wat a country......

When I read about folks having to wait days, week, or months for a permit, I realize how nice we have it in Pennsylvania. Although the state has 45 days to conduct their investigation, permits are routinely issued on the spot.

Of course, this is all subject to change now that we have the most anti-gun governor in the history of the commonwealth.

So, how are you celebrating? A new gun, perhaps?
