Open to all Marylanders and shooters from surrounding states. Last shoot we held, we had a beautiful ma deuce set up and really had a blast. See here for a little after action report:
Oct 28th on Md's eastern shore. $10 to shoot all day and lunch will be provided for a modest $7 to $8. We usually see between 30 and 40 people at these events.
See here for more discussion of the upcoming event:

Sounds like a good time. I used to live (and my Ex still does, blarg) in Waldorf. Very reasonable cost quotes. I'd go if I still lived in that world.

Cool, I would like to come but am not sure if I can bring any guns from VA? What's the deal with MD laws and state line travel on rifles. I already know I have to leave the side arms at home, but what about the rifles?
thanks

Bring anything you want except for "assault pistols" Except for those (tec-9's and the like) you can pretty much bring anything you want from VA. just be sure to have them unloaded and stored someplace not readily accessible from the passenger area of the vehicle.
K-Romulus can provide better guidlines, but MD isn't as bad as most think.

So far we have about 18 confirmed people bringing all kinds of interesting things. MD may not be the best state for gun laws, but it is surprisingly NFA friendly.

Cool, a Sunday shoot, and just when things should be starting to calm down at work. I'll probably be there, but until things actually calm down at work I can't say for sure.

Hey guys,
I haven't been able to get on the MD Shooters website for nearly a week now. Something is really screwed up with my connection. I can't access the site with either my computer or my wife's computer. All other websites work as normal. :( I've been trying to fix it, but can't figure it out.
Anyhow........since I can't check in over there, have the rifle and pistol competitions been set up yet? I was curious what the competitions might be?
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there! :)

Ben,
I didn't know things were still jacked up with the connection. Have you talked to the ISP yet to see what the problem is?
Deleted cookies?
The competition stuff will go up tomorrow and I'll email you the info.
Is it OK for me to give DD214 your email address so you guys can figure out the computer problem that way?

Arghh. Talked to my ISP (Comcast), and they ran all the checks and things seem to be working on their end. I can ping the site but can't connect.
I haven't had my fix of MD Shooters for a week now and I'm in serious withdrawals. :banghead:

This is going to be one of the best shoots in a long time. The two previous were awesome, but I have a feeling this one is going to pwn.......
trbn8r....did you delete all of your computer's cookies? Try resetting windows to a date prior to when you started having issues? Any other sites giving you problems?

October 21, 2007, 03:23 PM
Thanks Spot, but I did all that. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Comcast yesterday. They say everything is working ok on their end. It that's the case, why is it both of our computers won't access MD Shooters? I haven't changed anything on my computer or my wife's.
MD Shooters is the only site that gives me any problems.
Anyway, enough whining about my computer problems. How about the shooting competitions? I need to know which bang sticks to bring. :)

Well, it is looking like I won't be there. I was given a deadline for that Monday the 29th for some important stuff for work.
Also, I need to keep my schedule open since it looks like my grandfather may pass away any time and I may be on my way to Ohio any day now. So, next Sunday may not work after all.
I'm sorry I'll miss you guys (again).

Good luck with your work assignments, and most importantly I wish the best for you and your family during a difficult time. Take care, and hopefully we will see you at the next shoot.

For those coming to the shoot be sure to visit this thread for very important information:
It didn't say anything in the range rules about video/still cameras, are they allowed, and if so any restrictions on taking some polite consenting pics and video?

No range rules prohibiting it. Just, as you pointed out, be polite about showing peoples' faces. Some of us in sensitive jobs are a little weird about our faces being out there too much

LOTS of lead got thrown and I have a lot of cleaning and reloading to do. Good time had by all, and I can't wait for the next one. It was cool to put faces with the login ID.

We had over 60 people there in our group, and about another 20 that just showed up to use the range.
Great weather too.
