The word “cool” does not do it justice…

I think it is pretty ugly, but I am not a fan of scrolling on guns.

THATS THE KIND OF GUN THAT NEVER GETS FIRED BUT GETS CLEANED EVERY WEEK. tbtrout, how can you NOT be in love...Just kidding, everyone has their preferences but damn that gun is beautiful. Id rather watch that gun hang over my TV than watch TV.
Yes. Yes it does.
But you have to aim for the head. :D
It's truly a work of art. I'd pop a few rounds with it, just to use as an excuse to clean it and hold it some more. :)
Why is it that women dont understand that such a thing is beautiful to us?

It'd be a lot cooler on a Colt Python or Anaconda.
Something more substantial that a Dick Special in .38 - just doesn't seem like enough gun for mythical bloodsuckers.

Fun concept, and great workmanship! The packaging with silver bullets and holy water vial makes for a nice touch -- reminds me of the "Vampire Killing Kits" that pop up at auction every so often. Wired Magazine did an article on those back in April.
Incidentally, if you happen to run across one of Professor Ernst Blomberg's Vampire Killing Kits, be advised it's not a valuable antique. A guy named Michael de Winter claimed in 2002 that he made the whole thing up around 1970 in order to get rid of a low-end Belgian percussion pistol. He made up a kit, printed some antiqued leaflets (he worked as a printer for his day job and traded in antique arms on the side), and priced the sucker at a thousand quid. Surprisingly, somebody bought it. In the years since, several knock-offs have turned up, all of them referencing the fictional people mentioned in de Winter's original.

I thought silver bullets were for werewolves. Remember "Love at First Bite"?

1. It's not a pair of shoes
2. There are no gemstones in it, particularly diamonds.
So, would you use hollowpoints with garlic filled tips? I'd suggest Sierra, their hollowpoints seem to be like ashtrays.
That is the best scrollwork I think I've ever seen. What a talent, wonderful detail. The coffin case is a nice touch, very nice.
Any word on what it sold for?

I saw that gun in an article right after it was made and then again in the more recent one. Probably both in G&A
Normally it wouldn't be my cup o' tea, but some things are just SO FAR OVER THE TOP that I wind up being impressed in spite of myself.

For the love of Pete, it's a Colt Detective, not a saddle.
Another :barf: here.
To quote Douglass Adams, this is what I look for in a gun:
The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with.'

Such guns need silver bullets, still manufactured (http://davidvs.blogspot.com/2007/01/oregon-and-guns.html) in Oregon.
We're a weird state.

Uhh....interestng? But ya silver bullets?? Like someone said already it seems they are mixing myths. Wooden bullets would be what is needed for vamps but ya that just wouldn't be as cool I guess...oh well.
I do admire the skill needed to produce that....but I would never spend money on it.

Wouldn't wooden bullets be more appropriate?
It is a way cool looking firearm, but I like guns I can shoot.

"...thought silver bullets were for werewolves..." They are. The marketing department that made that pimp's gun is confused.
You can't kill a vampire with wooden bullets either. Requires a stake through the heart, burning or decapitation.

But like I said before, I bet cross point bullets would work wonders.
Also, how do we know the silver bullets aren't blessed? :D

I like it myself. The attention to detail is outstanding. Go phat with some dude with that and it would stop em in their tracks before it went off. Nice for a hidden backup for one of these. Which have a bit more oomph.
