Nice to know there is positive press down south, unlike the KC/STL metro areas. I just wish they would report with accuracy the facts and results of CCW in other states and leave the politicians rhetoric out of it unless what the politician is saying is factuall and not his NSHO. Yea I know, when pigs fly...:fire:

That article said that they could override his veto in Sep, correct?

If so, then good luck in Sep. MO!

This part of the state is fairly conservative. This is from the the editorial page of the Joplin Globe.

I think geographically most of the state is conservative
unfortunately, too many people live in KC and St L.
kinda like Illinois, too many liberals in Chi Town for the conservatives in the rest of the state to exercise their freedoms

A similar incident in Waco, Texas, in which a gunman drove his truck through the front of a cafeteria and then started shooting people inside proved to be a catalyst for the Texas concealed-carry law. That would be the Luby's Cafeteria incident in Kileen, Texas and the legislation for Texas CCW was pushed relentlessly by one of the victims, Suzanna Gratia (Hupp), before she became a Texas legislator.

"The Second Amendment isn't about protecting ourselves against criminals. It's about all of us protecting ourselves from all of you."

-Dr. Suzanne Gratia, a survivor of the Killeen, Texas Luby's massacre, to Congressman Charles Schumer (D-NY), 1994MY KINDA GAL!
