Just got a call from my local gun shop they got in an Ithaca model 37. It has a vent rib, engraving with the dogs and pheasants. They said it is good condition, I have not seen it yet. Do you think 250.00 is too high?

This does not have the corn cob forend :(

Thanks,
Billyp

I paid 225 for mine. And my friend picked one up at auction for 150. Depends on the shape its in bud. Also whether its in 20, 12 or 16 gauge.

I paid that much (Canadian) a few years ago for a 1958 vintage 12, absolutely plain Jane, no checkering, rolled "engraving" and no rib. Good shape, but extensively used, to the point where there was no finish left on the wood where your thumb wraps around the grip.

(Gun prices, esp new, are way higher in Canada than US).

In return I got the corncob, and a silky smooth pump that has many more miles left on it.

That's a bargain price for that condition compared to the shops around N TX.

After reading this thread, maybe I should find my advert in the FS forum and give it a shameless bump.... :(

That's a really nice price -- depending on condition

If in decent condition, that's about $50 less than what I'd pay around here. Great guns!

That's good price. I've never seen one in person for less that $250...
