Did the Remington model 788 ever get a recall? Seems I heard that but not sure.

As a 788 collector, I always check the trigger group for looseness and side-to-side play. This can cause the gun to accidentally discharge if let go unchecked. Not aware of any recall by specifics, but I seem to remember reading about one in my old gun rags. Perhaps you can call Remington?
