I have had a 17 since they came out. You'll love it. In answer to your questions -
1.) Yes you can use 9mm +P I don't know what Glock says about it...but I have run a fair amount through mine with no problems.
2.) Does libe=lube ? if so then yes. I use a couple drops of clp and call it good.

Welcome Drone, to the Darkside!!!
Yes you can shoot +P+ in it!!
No, you only need one drop of oil down each the frame cuts on the slide, a small drop of oil which coats the barrel, one drop on the inside of the slide by the ejection port where the slide contacts the barrel hood, one drop inside the locking lug, and one where the trigger bar connects with the connector!!
Six drops!! That's it!! :D

Glocks work quite well w/ little to no lube (or libe :D ). Nothing like them 'free' guns! Congrats ;)

ok so I can't type at 630am!!Libe does=lube.
12GA:I got it at Accurate Arms in Schenectady.....I love that place, some of their ammo prices even beat Walmart. Not to knock Pistol Parlor,I give them tons of business too.(accurate just has better prices and you can take your time paying things off.)
I picked it up today and went right to the range(in the rain)......100+ rounds,Blazer,Winchester(cheap stuff),Winclean, and hollowpoints. No failures(as expected) and at 25yrds it's point of aim.I guess I won't need one of those adjustable sights.
This gun rules....I'm going to use it monday at IDPA,and I'll report back.
Now I need to take it apart and clean it(I don't HAVE TO,but I want to):D

Denfoote:
My Beretta only needs 4 drops, one on each frame rail, one on the locking block and one on the hammer base. :neener:

BEFORE we get into the 4 drops or 6 drops argument again, the common theme is that you shouldn't overlube a Glock.
The controversy arose because the old Glock armorer manuals and the new Glock armorer manuals disagree in the number of lube points on the pistol.
Use whichever method you LIKE. Both will provide sufficient lubrication and NEITHER is going to hurt the pistol.
+P is definitely ok.
The armorer's manual states that the 9mm Glocks are safe up to a chamber pressure of 43,500psi. That's well beyond the SAAMI maximum of 38,500psi for 9mm +P
