Anybody own any of Sid's knives?
I have one he made up for me in the late 70's.
His wife and mine worked for the same company in Anchorage at the time, and for some reason he took a liking to me. He put me to the head of the cue on my promise that I would use the knife telling me that "my knives are for using, not for keeping pretty." Used it on the first moose I shot and quite a bit thereafter during my 9 years in Alaska.
He was working on a small bird and trout type knife based on a K-bar pattern I liked when he died. It was forged and polished, lacking only the scales, but his estate wouldn't deliver any partially finished blades.
