I am thinking of getting a Charter Arms 2000 .357 mag pug. How are these guns? How is Charters customer service. For what I am looking to spend it is either Charter or Taurus. I have heard horror stories about Taurus customer service. This will be mainly a BUG. :confused: Thanks

Can't speak about the 2000 Charter, but my brother has an old 38 spl Undercover that just keeps chuggin' along. Nothin' pretty, but it goes bang every time. As far as Taurus I have heard they are now making some fine guns, but their QC is sometimes lacking.

Can't say about the .357, but i wouldn't trust my life to any Charter 2000 .38. I bought two nib from a dealer. First cylinder full from each gun was three failures to fire. All had light firing pin hits. Both were fixed under warranty. A friend also bought a nib Undercover. His locked up after the second shot.

Either go with a Taurus, S&W or a Ruger SP101.
