G29---Discontinued??????

Was in the local shop inquiring about a G29----he says that they are dicontinued and no longer in his catalog.
Glock's website hasn't been undated since 2000---so no help there.
Is this true??? Or just a line of BS to get me to buy one of the other 20 Glocks he had in the case.
Thanks.
PS---Glock Talk seems to be down too.

GT seems to be back up, somebody already posted the question there (due to your question ;-).
Sounds like BS to me...

I doubt the company would keep a product on their website if that product had been discontinued.

The G29 is listed in the 2003 Glock Autopistols publication... I suspect some prevarication on the part of the dealer. :D

How sad ...
.... yet another instance of invidious 10mm misinformation by some gun shop counter help. Sounds like subtle anti-10mm bias to me.
"Sorry, they don't make those in 10mm anymore. Here, get a .40." :scrutiny:

I don't think Glock has discontinued any of their pistols so far.
I think even the 17L and the 24 are still in production in limited quanity

Boy, I hope not. G29 is on my aquire list, but not at the top just yet and it's not budgeted yet. I don't think I'd want a used one (some people always have to tinker with a hot cartridge and some reloads can get insane). I would think the G20 would go first.
Exactly which other gun was he trying to sell you? Maybe something else in the case with alot of dust on it? I'm going to assume he's full of it until I hear differently (I know a dealer who sells only Glocks - does a hell of a business too- maybe he'll know gunshow is this weekend).

The 17L and 24 are still produced, they aren't just imported into the U.S. due to the 34 and 35 being IDPA legal (a small number may still be imported, but it would be miniscule at best). The only Glock models that have been discontinued are the 17L-C, and the 18C.

I've heard this before and I don't think it's BS. I NEED :) a 10MM. Good for the woods. I don't want to look it up~so how does the 10MM compare to a .44 mag revolver? (Other than capacity.)
