I have a 329 Scandium S&W, and with factory 44 Mag loads, the empties are dirty and hard to extract. There is also a sporatic problem of the recoil loosening the bullets so much that the cylinder will not rotate with the 5th or 6th shot due to the bullet hitting the frame. The cylinder bores are within
.001" of my Ruger Redhawk, although larger, and the Redhawk ejects empties clean and easy. Anyone have any thoughts? This is happening with factory ammo, not maximum reloads, so the crimps and power should be correct.

Change brands of ammo til you find one that doesn't pull crimp and give sticky ejection. Actually I've shot a lot of rounds through my 329, but never a factory 44mag. Have no desire to. The gun is a fantastic 44spl that can shoot mag if absolutely necessary. I handload 240gr lswc's at 850-900fps, and that's enough for me. For personal defense the Blazer 200gr specials are hot, and will do the job. If you need mags for bear protection (why protect a bear?) Buffalo Bore loads a round specifically for the 329.

I thought the manual suggests 200 grain bullets or lighter for a 329 just exactly for the reason stated above.
Shooting 44 specials feels as if it is a 38.

Got 44?:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
