S&W CS9 Grips

Posts have been written about some people having problems with the CS9 grips. My wife and I get better accuracy with the CS9 than with any other handgun that we have fired in the past including Glock 26, KelTec 32, Colt Mustang .380, SP-101. S&W 640 and S&W 60. My hand size is about normal and my wife's hands are so small that we can't find a shooting glove to fit her hand. Can someone explain what the problem is with the CS9 grips.

For me, the problem is that the grips on S&W semi autos are a very slick hard plastic that is next to impossible to improve. The only thing I've found that helps are slip on rubber sleeves from Hogue & Pachmyr. Plus the actual grip shape just doesn't fit me right.

My CS9 came from the factory with Hogue grips. I think most people that complain about the CS auto line is that the grip is too large and at the same time, is too short.
I'm a big guy with fairly large hands but I can't complain about the grips at all. My wife has tiny hands but she say's they feel better to her than most other pistols she's handled in the past. My CS9 is very accurate and would make a great CCW gun.

I had a CS9 for a while, it was an excellent, accurate little pistol. THe problem I had with the grips was that while they were perfect for shooting, they were very fat and made the gun hard to conceal.
I would have preferred the option to put some slim grips on it to make it thinner for concealed carry.
Here's a picture of it compared to an HP P7M8. The P7 was actually not much larger than the CS9, and in fact was thinner; while holding one extra round of ammo in a nearly identically sized magazine (8 in P7M8, and 7 in the CS9). Of course the CS9 was lighter, being aluminum-framed.

I honestly think I'd have kept the CS9 if thinner grips were available for it.
