Greetings,
I am about to make a major purchase of Montana Gold bullets in 9mm, .357 SIG, 40 S&W, 10mm, and 45 ACP.

Before I do, I would appreciate knowing if anyone has any negative opinions/experiences with these bullets.

Are they really as good as I have heard

All I have ever shot was the sample that came in the giveaway bag at a shooting match. They did ok. But I suggest you make a minor purchase and try them out before you stock up.

I use them in 40 and am very happy. A large percentage on IPSC shooters use them. I have always found them to be very accurate. JHP's are the best accuracy though.

Have shot thousands of rds in 45ACP ( 200 gr ) and 9mm ( 115 gr).
Never a problem.

If you are just wanting an accurate bullet for shooting, they are great. If you are expecting expansion, forget it. They can be modified to achieve expansion and do quite well when so modified. I don't know why MG doesn't do it, except they already sell all they can make. Between my son and I we have put over 12,000 down range in the last two years. He could not get the 124 gr 9mm jhp to feed in his Glock 34. That's the only feeding problems we have ran into.

Most of the shooters in our local club use them. We have had no problems at all with them.

The majority of shooters that buy Montana GOld shoot in Ipsc or IDPA. The only reason they make the hollowpoint at all is becasue HP's are more accurate than FMJ's
