Quick question for my fellow High Roaders. What are some holster options for a guy with a love handle issue? I have considered IWB, but I seem to be printing when I sit down. is there anything other than Shoulder Holster left for us fat(round) guys?

As a fellow FRG (fat round guy) I can empathize with your plight! Try a pocket holster like the Pocket Max from El Paso Saddlery (www.epsaddlery.com). I carry a J-Frame Mod. 60 in mine-maybe a bit smaller than I would like to carry, but I think it will get the job done!

I also am a "full figured" gentelman.I carry my S&W 3914 in a Law Consealment holster IWB at about the 3:30 position with an un-tucked shirt.if I wear a longer shirt I can OWB carry in a Bianchi Accu-mold belt slide holster. jwr

I'm 6'2", 350#...I pocket carry a Kel-Tec PF-9 in a DeSantis Nemisis in cargo pants. It disappears and is both lightweight and accurate. Before that it was a P3AT/Nemisis. Although when I was first starting to carry, I rashly bought a Kimber Ultra Carry, but found the only way to carry it comfortably (and big guys know about how IWB holsters gouge & pinch) as well as covertly (love handles make OWB on the hip look like you're shoplifting a stereo or something) was SOB holsters at about 5:00, but that required a cover garment, which was NOT happening in 95 degree weather.

As a member in good standing of the rotund roundtable, I find that a Gary Brommeland www.brommelandgunleather.com , Max Con V or a Sam Andrews www.andrewsleather.com pocket holster works great.

my main problem is that the tool i will be lugging around is a Walther P99. i have a Maxpedition Jumbo man-purse, but there are times that i REALLY do not wanna lug the bloody thing around. it does not scream "GUN" like one of those fanny pack deals from DeSantis, but i have gotten some rather measuring looks from local LEOs.

Bianchi makes an inexpensive suede IWB clip-on that my wife uses as a palm-out draw SOB. She's right-handed, and gets the left-hand model and wears it at 5:00 under an un-tucked shirt.

I carry a full size HK USP IWB in a Mitch Rosen Workman Express. It rides nice and deep (much deeper than several other IWB holsters that I own) and hides well. I have noticed that I need to wear any IWB holster farther forward than one normally would in order to keep it from printing due to that pesky spare tire riding above my waist.

Have any of you tried the elastic waist band holster. It not only gives you a trimmer shape, but helps you sweat off some of the weight. I'm not being a PIA, I have tired it and it works well for me
