All,
I recently purchased a Franchi semi auto for skeet/clays that I am having trouble with. I have assembled and dis-assembled the gun a few times without issue, but now there is a part that moves inside the fore stock when the gun is assembled. It doesn't affect operation but it is annoying. Is this normal for a semi auto? The part is a metal sleeve that is marked light on one end and heavy on the other. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

:what:

That's the piston that makes the gas operated semi auto work. If you lock the action open and move the sg probably you will be able to hear the piston moving up and down. If the action is closed the piston is held in place by the spring.
