They are yesterday's news, and will be dropped eventually.

But they are still around on used gun racks. If you have had either and played a bit with it, what did you think? Still have it? Sold it off? Anything good or bad about it? How did they work on game?

Well, I don't own either, but I would get a 356 if I ever had the chance. It's a good bit more powerful than the 35 Remington. It's niche is so small it's probably not going to apeal to many. Dies for the 356 are the same as the 358 Winchester which is still chambered in the BLR having been recently reintroduced. 307? Why? I never understood that round much.

Model 81 Lightweight in 358 for list of $696, being sold on Gans Ameria for $600. Bye now, gotta raise money to deal with.

Not surprising. Neither one ever really caught on, which is a bit unfortunate.

A friend's Father has a .356 and really likes it.

Still, the .358 never caught on in lever guns, and the .375 Winchester Big Bore was also largely a dog, it's not really a stretch to think that the .356 wouldn't, either.
