About NuFinish as a polishing agent. Is it the orange bottle with No rubbing, no scrubbing written on it?

Also, is the procedure to put one cap into the media, let it tumble for 5 minutes without the cases then put the cases in?

Don't use the Scratch and Swirl Remover, it's totally different.

I put a little more than a capful in, slowly drizzling it around just as thin as I can pour it. When the clumps disappear I add brass and used dryer sheets cut up into 2" squares.

Why the dryer cloth? Do you want your brass to smell fresh and eliminate the static? :D

You can use paper towels also with very good results. Just cut a paper towel into 2-3" squares and throw 2 or 4 squares in with the cases...Leave them there until they turn color...Then change them.

It should be noted that Nu Finish is formulated with ceramic material used as a polishing agent. Some people have chosen not to use it.

Otto, is the ceramic material bad? Isn't there ceramic material available for use in tumbers?

Is Nu Finish harmful? Probably not. I use it myself but I always tumble my brass a second time with untreated walnut hulls to remove the residue.

I also tumble using a rotary tumbler and ceramic media.
Ceramic tumbling media is most often used with a liquid solution (acid or alkaline) based.
Once the tumbling is complete, the cleaning solution is poured-off and the brass is rinsed with clean water. There is virtually no ceramic residue left except for an occasional piece of ceramic media that can become lodged in the primer pocket or inside the casing.
This method cleans the inside of the casing and the primer pockets like new.
The drawbacks are: it's expensive, it's slow, it's labor intensive and capacities are less than with a vibratory tumbler.
