You might also try Tandy Leather as they are a national chain and carry many kinds of leather.

Don't know where you are located, but most any large city has at least one guy who sells leather for leather crafting.

Let your fingers do the walking & try the Yellow Pages!
Try Shoe Repair shops, Saddle & Tack Shops, and just plane old Leather-Craft shops.
You may have one right under your nose.

RC,
I already tried that.
The only leather in my area is in a 700.00 pair of Italian loafers.

I mail order just about everything I use.

I was also looking for a source that perhaps someone has used before and has had good luck on orders and quality.

I try and use recomended places form others. Has saved me quite a few hours worth of not having to deal with BS.

If you're looking for recommendations, try this:

Tandy Leather #109 DALLAS
Toll Free: 800-449-0785
Manager: Marty Dunajsky
10220 E Northwest Hwy
Dallas, TX 75238

dallas@tandyleather.com
View Map
214-342-2282 fax: 214-342-8837

This info is in the Find Store selection in Tandy Leather Factory. The store manager, Marty, is a friend of mine. I've known him for 7 years and he is a hunting buddy. Marty has been in the leather business for about 25 years and also teaches classes on leather crafting. He is extremely honest and very knowledgeable about anything pertaining to leather.

RC is usually right and here in Topeka Ks the leather dealer is at 29th and Ks Ave. You just have to look for the hole in the wall.
