I am slowly putting together a plan to sell my turret set up and get a 550B. The turret is a just a little slow for the amount of pistol rounds I am currently shooting.

Anyway I am guessing that selling my dies with the reloading set up isn't going to add too much to my price since the buyer may or may not be interested in my caliber selections. The dillon die sets are about $60.

The dillon resizers are radiused to work faster with the progressive presses. I do occasionally have to move the case around on my Lee with my finger to get it in the decapper/sizer die. The rest seem to go OK on their own. I don't want to have to do this on the 550B.

Anyone using Lee dies in 550B that would care to comment?

I think you just answered your own question. Your Lee dies won't work any better in a 550 than they do in your turret press.
Bite the bullet and buy the Dillon die set. You will be glad you did.

I use Lee dies in my 550 for a couple calibers, and they work fairy well. The radius on the Dillon dies are nice, but I would try the Lee dies first, to see if you need the Dillons. If you are planning on crimping, I would suggest getting Dillon's crimp die, to seat/crimp in seperate steps.

Your lee dies should work fine. Definitely try them before selling. Dillon dies are best for setting up one load then making lots of it.

I have both for my 550 yes your right the dillon resizer works better but not that big of an issue for me I can easly load 300-400 rnds an hour and with the lee dies. I use the lee factory crimp die on all of my die sets. And then there is allways the dremel to easy up your lee dies if need be. Dillon dies are very expensive so give your lees a try and see how things go.

They work fine in my 550, and there's no reason you should NEED to change them.

All my dies are Lee (9mm, .45acp, .223, .270) and I have no problems on my 550B. I also use the Lee FCD on all calibers.
