well i just finished a batch of 50 .45 colts using the Master Blaster 200 grn . polymer coated bullets ! They got here yesterday ! I cant wait to shoot em !!
I loaded them over 13 grains of HS6 . This might make a good practice load for my Ruger SRH. the one question I have for you guys is does HS6 seem kind of sticky ? I was noticing when I was weighing the drops from my measure (I drop into an empty case and then dump it in the scale ) that I had to make sure all the powder came out of the case onto the scale ! Some of the powder was sticking to the inside of the case !!

Thanks Guys !:D

I haven't used a lot of HS-6 but the pound I used didn't have that problem. I used it in 9mm and it dumps out of the case fine. It also measures in my Pro Auto Disk real accurate.

Sure you can, it's called static cling. Probably was a dry day when you were loading? If it persists, get a dryer softener sheet, wipe the powder measure down with it, that should discharge the static charge that' cusing your problem.

I agree, it's static causing the "sticking."

I've loaded HS-6 pretty constantly over the past few years and it's definitely static.

:banghead: Thanks guys !! I will shoot my first hs6 reloads in the morning ! I will pick up some drier sheets tonight ! I usually don't change more than one thing at a time when i reload ! but for some reason I decided to use primers I have never used ,bullets I have never used , and a powder i have never used before ! i think my next reloading purchase will be a chronograph !So I can better judge the effects of changes I make !! Thanks again for your help ! There is a great bunch of folks on this board ! :D

Glad your rounds fired as well as you hoped. If you want to use less powder W231 will work just as well. You will use half the powder and get almost as much velocity with almost identical pressures. (not that there is anything wrong with HS-6)

Thanks Archangel !! I bought the hs6 because I wanted a powder that would be a little bulkier than the powder I already had ! imr 4227 and lil gun ! I might get around to w231 !! Thanks for your input !!
