I loaded 10 rounds of 170gr cast bullets from Oregon Trail under 7 grains of Unique and a CCI large rifle primer. I can't tell you how accurate these where as I had issues with sighting in at 100 yards (next time I plan to bring more rounds and shoot at 50) but I love these rounds. They felt like 38 specials, nice light plinking rounds. I'm going to have keep playing with these.

My favorite is 10 gr. of Red Dot, but 7 gr. of Unique sounds good.

My boys like shooting these reduced .30/30 loads at metal targets at the range. Even with a 170 gr. bullet the recoil is nil from a Winchester or Marlin .30/30 rifle. Accuracy is quite OK at 50 and 75 yards.

These loads makes a nice change from .22s and 9mm carbines.
