I used the NYS DECALS system to order my hunting/fishing license online this year. I ordered it last week and it arrived today. The only glitch I had was that when I ordered mine, and a few days later when I ordered my son's, I could not get the Deer Management Permit (Anterless Deer Permit) selection to work. So, I had to call in my selections. I got two DMP tags, my son got one (not the better one of the two I wanted for him), but I figure we did pretty good considering I waited so long, since August when they went on sale, to buy the licenses. Three DMPs in different wildlife management units, two pretty far from home, one pretty close to home; and of course the regular license for anywhere in the sate where hunting is allowed. I am hopeful that will increase our chances of venison on the table this year.

All in all it was pretty nice using DECALS and not having to go to a sporting goods store where the clerk likely would look at me like I had three heads when I asked to buy a license.
