Removing magazine safety on BHP

I am starting to shoot action pistol and am using my Browning HI-Power. After each stage you are required to drop the magazine, rack the slide and drop the hammer without a magazine in the well. Browning's require the magazine to be inserted to drop the hammer. I was told that the mag safety could be removed. Does anyone know how to do this?

If you are comfortable detail stripping your BHP, when you have the trigger in you hand there is a spring loaded peace that has what I would call a foot on it, this is the mag safety, there is a little pin that holds it in.

This is a good example of how to do it. Watch out for those free range framing hammers and nails used as punches though.
