Yesterday Gov. Holden vetoed SB13. SB13 was the bill prohibiting lawsuits against firearm and ammunition manufacturers.

By what margins did this bill pass in the state house and senate? I would imagine it may have passed by even larger margins than the concealed carry bill.

Bottom line to my question is: Can and will the MO legislature override this veto?

BAB, according to info in the above link this bill does have a "veto proof" margin of votes when it passed earlier this year. Hope this clears this up for you and anyone else interested.

Holden has vetoed a whole slew of bills this week, including a bunch of non-gun related ones that also had wide bipartisan support. He's approaching the state record for the most bills vetoed EVER by a governor.

His veto pen is a shovel, and his political grave is currently about 12' deep. :D

The House sponsor, Rep. Larry Crawford, R-California, said gun makers shouldn't be responsible for how customers use firearms, just as pen makers shouldn't be liable for bad checks.

That's an excellent analogy!

My hat's off to you Missouri, for standing up to your wretched excuse for a governor! Well done!

Hopefully after next year he won't be our governor anymore.
