Has anyone here ever used the Wolfeyes replacement bulbs for the Surefire
6P flashlights, as made by Cree Industries; with a total output of 170 lumens?
I was told by a city detective that these bulbs are really bright, and quite
possibly the best replacement bulbs available. :scrutiny:;)

I don't know if the one from this dealer is the same but I bought 2 of them and they are extremely bright!! They fit my 6P and G2 just fine.

No experience yet with the Cree drop in replacements, Dan, but a month or so ago I bought a Cree flashlight with two CR-123 batteries (same power as the 6P). Its brightness is astonishing.

I got a couple of those 3watt Cree replacement bulbs for my 6p. Big improvement over stock bulb and much easier on the batteries. I like the whiteness of the light too.

I was just looking at my G2Z and Maxfire the other day, and lamenting that they didn't have the same quality white beam that my Fenix Cree has. Well, I just ordered three from DealXtreme (thanks for the link) , so that I can remedy that situation and have a spare.

I have, they're pretty high quality, but a little differently shaped. I've got one in my M2 and had one in a Surefire shotgun forend until I sold the forend off. It stood up to the recoil of several hundred rounds, at least.
I've also got the dealextreme drop-ins in some Brinkmann lights. They're not quite drop in, but I put an o-ring in there and you can't tell the difference. Makes a very decent cheap light.
