I have an RCBS Rangemaster 750 (http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=814722&t=11082005) and it's been a good one.

I use the standard RCBS 5-0-5. Pretty much all the scales are accurate to 0.1grs. If for some reason you think you need more than that, then you'll need something that comes with an enlcosure.

Ditto the balance beam scales. Mine is 45 years old, dead accurate and needs no warm up, no re-balance and/or re-calibration, doesn't care what electical equipment is operating near by. I can weigh a piece of paper, make a half-inch pencil mark on it and detect the change in weight! It's an old Lyman Ohaus M-5, same as the RCBS 1010. But, the 505 is the same mechanism.

You will never find a digital on my bench unless someone with more money than sense gives it to me. Even then, it would only be used to weigh cases and bullets, not powder charges.

I prefer the Hornady model M. Has the longest beam of any of the beam scales currently on the market.

I bought a Pact Digital Precision Powder Scale for $129.00 and I really like it. I put my other scales away after a week using it.

Besides being dead on accurate, it's easy for a old blind guy to read and all you have to do is tare the pan and your off.

I forget to turn it off alot and come back a few days later and it's still set at 0 with the pan on it.

Ditto on the PACT. I sold both my balance beams after using the PACT. Actually, I gave one away and sold the other.
