What a weekend..

18 hours on the range with Max Michel and Travis Tomasie

I am absolutely sore, tired, caloused and bleeding after this.. we fired almost 800 rounds working through fundamentals, drills and stages..

M2 and TT are two of the best. both are grandmasters in USPSA. Max is the reigning US open division champ, and World Speed Shooting Champ beating the 80 second barrier. Both are members of the US Army AMU. these guys really know their stuff..they break down the fundamentals drill them down to a very simple form..it is easy to comprehend their explanations of why they do what they do.

Once we got done with the classroom portion, which is packed with information..we headed to livefire...and we shot drills..then we shot drills faster..then we shot drills MORE faster..we worked on triple six and 20 alpha too..

the fun really started when we worked on transitions, and movement..getting into and exiting positions..and stages..how to break them down, where, when and how to be aggressive..and how to find that time to pick up on your opponent..

one word..AWESOME...

M2 and TT are fantastic teachers..and I feel lucky that we got both to come out...we got maximum one on one time with each of them go over our individual weaknesses and how to make them strong...

Any advice or drills you can recommend about this:

"movement..getting into and exiting positions"

My whole game needs work, but I know of good ways to practice a lot of it. Movement seems to be my biggest problem, and I have a hard time thinking of ways to improve other than going to matches, which isn't real time or cost effective practice.
