What would be a moderately priced forward mounted scope? No more than 6x needed. I would like it on a cz carbine which has a problem with scope mounting. Either it has to be mounted high, which I don't care for, or forward because the bolt will interfere.

Woof,

It's easy to modify tyhe bolt handle so that you can mount the scope low. I've done several.

If you don;t want to do it yourself, send your bolt plus $40 to James Calhoon and they'll send you back a modded bolt handle.

Thanks, I recall you mentioning that before. Do you get the "same" bolt back? And isn't the handle without blueing? Do you find that... well - ugly? Can he reblue the handle for and extra charge? One more Q since I should be asking him these things - his website has a phone number but no email I can see, does he not want emails? Thanks
