Just a heads up for those interested; if you have an Academy Sports in your area, they have (or had - I do not know if they are still on offer) "birdwatching" packages including a pair of Leupold 8x25 center focus porros for $49.95 (made in Philippines). Inc is a "Birdwatching for Dummies" if you like doing that kind of thing, cheap case, eyepiece cover, neckstrap.
These have fairly good glass, twist out eyecups, rubber coated, are waterproof (read; water resistant - not immersion) and feel good in the hand (to me). Nice feature is the adjustment on the right occular is a narrow ring at the base of the occular tube and fairly stiff - meaning it is less likely to wander.
A good buy IMO.
