I've got a redfield 2x7 scope that the 2 pieces of the tube are kinda lose on. I can bend and straighten them in the scope. obviously this is not real good. I called redfield and they gave me the number of a guy who repairs scope (iron sight in ok. $80) and apparently there is a shady operation in florida (abo? $40) that might do it, but both places warranty the scope for a matter of months.
would I do better to spend that 80 bucks or so on a bushnell or tasco/simmons something or other and get the lifetime warranty than to have the scope repaired? turnaround times on the scope are rather long apparently.
