Hey guys - I was hoping for a little insght here.

I have a CVA Kodiak 50 cal muzzleloader.

It Always had a really stiff trigger that I would like to adjust

But the big problem is that recently it wont fire the primer on the 1st hit.

now I consistantly have to recock it - and it fires on the 2nd strike.

Any clue how to fix this...

I already cleaned everything lubed it etc -

all the standard things one would try...but I cant quite figure it out.

Had the gun 2 years and there are not alot of shots through it - maybe 50....

and this started late last year - and still ongoing.

Also - this was not an issue that occured after a long storage

sooo.... and hints and parts diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

How about taking advantage of the CVA Lifetime Warranty?

Have you called them about fixing the problem?

Well......
That would work except I bought this 2 years ago as a factory refurb and Gander Mountain.
Basically - as is:banghead:

I'd bet that they will help you anyway. They really stand behind thier products, even the factory "seconds".

I would still call them.

A lifetime warranty is a lifetime warranty in most states.
Doesn't matter when or where you bought it according to the law.

Besides, if it's a factory refurb, they must not have "refurbed" it enough to start with.

Well,

I sent them an email - and I'll give them a call as well.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the info!
