Trying to fix a Winchester 250 lever-action .22 rifle. At some time in the past someone replaced the pin that holds the trigger assembly into the receiver with a piece of fiberglass rod. I'd like to replace it ,but need the dimensions. I suspect the rod being a single diameter is binding the action.

Thanks

Can't help with measurements, but:
Any chance you can determine the pin size & step-down size & length by using a set of number drills as hole size gages?

Don't have numbers drills, going to have to try to assemble my small lathe. Easy to run off a few until I get the right diameter. Appreciate the thought.:)

The basic action and many parts with the Model 190, Gunparts does not list many parts for the 250 but the 190 exploded view shows the 250 parts also.

Bob's doesn't list the pins, but they might have them or know the size. They have stripped trigger housings and some asssemblies.

The pin is the same as the 190/255 pin. it is the same dia. for the full length, but has a cut(lengthwise) to keep it from sliding out on it's own. I'll measure one tommorrow & post the dimensions. jim

OK, length:1&1/4", dia:7/32", split down center: 1/32" wide x31/32" long. One end of the pin is tapered for 1/8" to a dia. of 6/32". These measurments came from a model 190 & model 255, both with the original plastic factory pins. I hope this helps, jim
