My P239 is in 9mm and I absolutely love it. Accurate, reliable, refined and the decocker is a great feature. It is not, however, a small gun. It is flatter than the double stacks and slightly shorter but still not small. More like a medium size gun.

Thats what I'm looking for. How does it fit your hand?

Excellent design, in my opinion the best civilian CCW gun on the market. They're utterly reliable, and very accurate. The single-stack magazine and slim and short grip make them easy to conceal, while still offering a three-finger hold for control. The grip is ideal for small-handed guys and many women, while big-handed folk can make the grip fit like a charm with Hogues.

They're available in three great calibers (9x19, .40S&W, and .357SIG), and the P239 especially in the two bigger calibers has quite a lot of horsepower for a pistol of its size. To top it all off, they're exceptionally well made.

I have a 9mm that I purchased as soon as they came out. No problems. Excellent carry gun. Not quite as well suited for extended shooting as the 225, but I'd certainly buy another. Bore axis is a little higher than I'm used to (I shoot Glocks and S&Ws alot).

I love my Sig 239.

I put the Hogue grips on it and love it even more.

You can't go wrong with a Sig.

239 in 357 SIG. Works for me! Fits well in a VM-2 holster. Also have a 239 in 9mm. Great gun.

Had one and have to say it was an excellent pistol. Mine was in 9mm and shot wonderfully tight groups at POA. Never had a malfunction. My problem came whenever I had to decide whether or not to carry the 239 or my Glock 19. Pistols were incredibly close in size in all dimensions but the Glock had fewer edges, weighed less, and carried alot more rounds. Always left the 239 at home and so finally sold it. Now I want another one. I should have just appreciated it for the fine work of art it was instead of getting all caught up in the "which is better" syndrome. The 239 did shoot groups my Glock only dreamed about (although I can't say if it was the pistol or just me). There are other options out there but I'd say you can't go wrong with the 239.

The above response is an exact opposite of my situation. I sold my G19 and kept the Sig. Great handgun

I like mine a lot. I bought it last year, to use in IDPA (SSP division) because I thought it fit into the "spirit" of IDPA, more so than a full size gun. I have not been disappointed. Very reliable shooter, even if I push the cleaning envelope. It's got a great trigger in both DA and SA and it is easy to conceal. I got some Hogue wood grips for it, but went back to the stock grips, they just plain work better. Mine is 9mm, have not tried this model in the other calibers.

The 239 is the one SIG I have shot that I really liked.

I love mine. Its the best DA single stack compact gun on the market in my opinion. I don't carry it as much anymore. But when my Kimber is too big and my 442 is just not enough I carry the sig. I like the GLock 26 as well. In fact I like it better due to the trigger system. But you can't go wrong with the 239. Mine is in 357 sig and I would not trade it for the world.

A couple of years ago I posted on TFL that my P239 (9MM) was the only semi-auto pistol I have that has never had a single failure to feed/fire. That was with all factory loads and all handloads I fed it.

I need to update that claim at this time, and the update will be short: It still hasn't failed! Not once.

I've only heard good stuff about them, but they are kind of big for being small guns. If that makes any sense. :D

My thoughts exactly!

Mine has been 100% since day one. The addition of Hogue grips only make a good thing even better.

Great info. I'm sold on it now.
I'll post a range report as soon as I get it in.
Any more yay or nays(if any) are welcome.
