im looking for a speed holster for my sig 229. especially a ghost holster but all i see is for 228 will they both work.:confused:

Talk with the company that make it - some holsters work for both others do not. There are differences (in the frame and the slide).

Also, I've heard that there are variances among 229s in the shape of the trigger guard - I had one holster maker say he hated making holsters for the 229 because there were variances and sometimes holsters came back for adjustment - or had to be remade.

I don't know what a ghost holster is, but my Blade-Tech for my 229 is advertised to fit the 228 as well, same as the magazines being interchangable.

My 228 will not take my 229's mags in .357SIg at least. The 228 is a lesser capacity.

Maybe I should clarify that, in 9mm the 228 and 229 magazines are interchangable.

i guess i just have to buy one and try it out.if it doesn't fit i guess ill have an excuse to buy a 228
