Should I pounce on this?
I was originally planning on getting an M1A first, then the GP100 when my finances permit, but that depends on if this is a great value....
Your thoughts?

It looks like a good, but not a great, price, though I have not priced one for a while. At the gun shows in Houston, Rugers are discounted heavily. I'd expect to find one for about $375.

I have seen them for $350.00 at a local dealer. However, the price you see might be good in CA.

Sadly, that's a VERY good California price :(.

The good news is, the gun really is worth owning at that price.

Are you by any chance looking at Reed's sporting goods? They're having a big sale. In fact, I'll be working the NRA table outside between noon and 4:00pm :D.

$399 is about the going price in Southern CA. They were on sale recently for $369, so I guess it would depend on what part of the state you're in.

I've been to Reed's main store twice. Probably won't be in there again. I get ignored. That's probably because I look like a 17 year old working a job at the miniputt. Little do they know my superhero identity is that of a 23 year old radiographer supporting their nation's nuclear defenses! :fire:
Reed's range is a lot better. the people at the range are very nice. Too bad I don't shoot there; expensive range time and rental rates, plus they don't let you shoot ammo that's been bought elsewhere. On the plus side, the lanes are immaculate; probably because there are few people willing to find the place and fewer still that are willing to pay.
I while away my time at Target Masters.
So....what kind of sale at Reed's? I may be looking for an M1A......:D
