Good Morning, and hello from your friends in the USA.

While I haven't loaded that exact bullet in my .243, I have used Varget with great success using 58-gr V-Max Molys and 95-gr Combined Technologies Ballistic Silvertips.

Although I believe that your powder and bullet selection is a very good combination, I cannot suggest a "good load" for your rifle. The Hodgdon web site or loading manual will give you some starting loads and MAX loads for bullets close to your Hornady bullet weight when using Varget.

Start at the low end and work up to your most accurate load. You may be surprised, as I have been, to find that the most accurate Varget load is not at the high end.

I would add that you do not need to use magnum large rifle primers when using Varget.

I'm curious to hear what kind of shooting you are doing with the .243 in your part of the world.

I helped a friend this past weekend work up a load for his Savage 110 243 I used 44.0 Gr. IMR 4350 and a Nosler 90 Gr. Ballistic Tip seated the bullet a few thousands lower from where it touched the rifling after getting it sighted in,him being a L hand shooter and myself R handed we both could shoot sub 1/2 inch groups at 100 Yds. so I think we got it nailed down pretty good. Varget is hard to get around here our small shop cant carry everything but I was advised that either the IMR 4350 or H4350 were both excellent powders for the 243.

Hello from Spain!

I use Vectan powders (French powder) and for a bullet of 87gr i put 39grains of Tubal 5000.

I donīt know the brand of powders that you can buy in Scotland but maybe the french powders could be easy to find.

Bye!
