From everthing I've read here over the years, the prevailing sentiment is that a shotgun is probably the best weapon for home defense.

Just saw a Taurus Model 45. It accepts Colt 45 as well as 410 shotgun shells.

In the tight confines of a home, would a Model 45 w/410 be an acceptable substitute for a real shotgun?

Moving around the home would have to be easier I would think.

You could always load up 2 410 shells and 3 .45 as a backup if the shot shells didn't take the bad guy down?

I think they call it the model 4410, you might get more results searching for that, or just for "the judge" as taurus calls and engraves them.

Oh, don't sweat the dupe. I was just pointing out that the topic has been tossed around a bit before and in the end, it wasn't the self-defense holy grail Taurus makes it out to be. They are still fun to shoot.
