Given the date on the quote, he has now been a LEO in Texas since 2004 and is one in Michigan since 1982.

Nugent knows that the 2nd has not been held up in court for justifying concealed carry without a permit or license. He likes to claim the 2nd is his concealed carry permit, but he also knows they reason why he doesn't get busted for illegal concealed carry is because he is a LEO here in Texas and was one in Michigan. He is reserve officer and Texas reserve officers have the same privileges of regular officers by law.

So Ted is yet again manipulating the truth, misrepresenting it.

I like to think that gun owners and gun organizations are the good guys with valid gun rights causes. As good guys, I fail to understand why they feel it necessary to promote a valid cause through deception.

I don't think Ted is manipulating the truth with that statement any more than saying that his rights were being interfered with by a "gaggle of numbnuts". It's a pretty high standard if you would require him to actually have the gaggle members turn their heads and cough. I'm comfortable assuming he means that the "2nd Amendment is my concealed carry permit" -and the fact that it is not being interpreted that way is a problem.

I guess it's like the WHOLE anti gun cause, deception after deception, lie after lie. Nugent is trying to take the high road and is only saying that the Second Amendment is his ULTIMATE right to concealed carry. I do not see where the deception is. At least we know where he stands and I like the way he presents his positions.
