I posted about this old thing in the gunsmithing section recently.
This is a rusty old revolver I tried to clean up for a friend. Someone gave it to him, he took it apart and couldn't get it back together again. I cleaned the rust off and reassembled it. The finish is nearly all gone and there is widespread pitting on the outside only. It's shoots good enough for what it is.

A couple questions:
Anyone know how old it is?
Any idea as to value? I thought about offering to buy or trade him out of it, but it can't be worth much in this condition.

On the barrel: "GABILONDO & Cia ELGOIBAR (ESPANA)" and on the other side: "ACERO DE ALTA RESISTENCIA"

I know, it's old rusty junk, but I think it was worth salvaging.

Can you post more information? On the frame of the gun should be a spanish proof mark. Below the mark will be a two letter or number combination. This will tell you the year it was proofed, although not necessarily the year it was made. All European guns are required to be proofed by the government proof house before being sold.

In that condition, basically poor, I'd say the gun was worth $50, maybe $65.
