I thought ya'll might enjoy a look-see at my new toy. The reciever, barrell, and mag tube were painted by a local 'smith. He also parkerized the bolt, and action bar. I sent the stock, a PG, the foreend, and side saddle to Bob Lumpkin of www.nouglyguns.com for the desert paint scheme.

The pics don't quite do her justice. The camera is a $40 Wally-world special. But, trust me, she is a beautiful girl. I'm happy with her.:D :D :D

Nice, what's the use environment? Something like this on a MM would make a corrosion resistant, unobtrusive weapon of great utility.

Dave,

The use environment for this particular shotgun is primarily justfortheheckofit.

I'm not quite done with it actually. I plan to have my name and rank engraved on one side of the top, and 'Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan - 2002' done on the other side. Also, I plan to have a 101st ABN DIV patch engraved on the right side of the reciever. I envision it being an heirloom that I'll pass on to the kids someday.

I've got some sad news to report. I took my new baby to the range today for the Nashville Chapter of THR 'Day at the Range' and hurt her. I leaned her against a post while I was playing with other members of the family, and she fell over into some gravel. There's a bit of minor scratching on her paint job, but she stills looks great. Just convinced myself that she won't be going back to the range, or at least not too often. The paint (on the furniture) seems to fleck off a bit too easily. Once I finish getting her decorated, she's going on the wall to stay.

But, on a happy note, I sure had a good time trying her out for the first time.

Frank, I noticed that shotgun today and forgot to mention how great it looked. Didn't notice any scratches but I had already commented on 'slingers big ol' chip outta his M1's stock that he hadn't noticed before so I prob wouldn't have mentioned it!

My son & I had a great time with you guys today. What a nice bunch of firearms and people. Let's do it again soon!

Thanks (I think) to the 'slingers for giving the .22 semi bug to my son! All those years of carefully aimed single shots outta the window. The boy looked like that picture of Skunk with the booney hat! :D I'll let ya'll know when his birthday comes up in Nov!!!

Special thanks to Julie for all the 10/22 mag loading.
