My grandfather hunts with a marlin goose gun and his eyes are not what they used to be. I was looking at his gun trying to figure out what I can do to help and I noticed two holes in the side of the action. I was wondering if they are for a scope mount? If so where can i get one for him? Thanks ahead for all the help.

Not sure...but probably for a receiver sight (peep type).
You might try a fiber optic sight to replace the front bead.

It may also be possible to mount a red dot type sight, though I'm not sure how.

Your gun is drilled & tapped for a Lyman or Williams receiver peep sight.
The two little screws would not be strong enough to hold a scope with a 12 ga shotguns recoil.
Anyway, it would be very difficult to mount a scope or red-dot because of the split receiver that the bolt handle rides in.
It would hit the scope when opening, unless side-mounted off the left side of the receiver.
I think 35Rem's suggestion of a fiber optic front sight may be the best choice.
