Huge "sticker head" taken in Colorado.

I shot this gargantuan sticker head doe yesterday with my muzzle loader.
I shot her at about 85 yards with my Knight Rolling block rifle using a 440gr lead hydracon and a bore button over 130grs of 2F Goex black powder.
She was hit through the top of the heart and both lungs and ran about 150 yards before dropping.
The score of this sticker head is yet unofficial but it looks as though she will score in the top 10 all time sticker heads in the state.

What's the drying time before you can get an official score?

23 minutes if it is a kiln dried sticker head.

Which form of fauna or is it flora? Oh whatever, is it a hardwood or softwood trophy? Around here we use the hardwood trophies for wiener roasting sticks; the softwood variety are viewed in the same vein as gar or carp out of the sewer lagoon.

I don't know if it has to do with genetics or habitat, but there's been a rash of non-typical stickerheads taken the last few years! :neener:

From the looks of those stickers...I'm assuming the doe stickerheads are in the rut this time of year?

NOway, that is obviously photochopped. Look at the shadow from the drop point, it's obvious that this has been shopped. Plus, if you look real close, you can see how one ear droops more then the others (where they chopped the ear out then added it back in with the stickers). :D

You know, I reckon this is part of what makes THR great. Just when you think you seen it all, somebody posts about some exotic hunt or amazing trophy that makes that lone jackrabbit you kilt last weekend seem lame.
Thanks for sharing, H&H!

Quite a spread on that bad boy........(ooops), I mean girl.....or whatever it is. Those sticker limbs probably didn't produce any nuts being it's a female.
I see you use the Old Fishermans trick of holding the critter close to the camera lens to make it look bigger....

Looks like one of the tines is broken. That's too bad, it would have made a nice trophy.

It's a shame you didn't have your best RealTree camo on for the photo. The endorsement money could have been substantial.

I am actually wearing a new top secret type of camo in that picture. It's known as "Honestly, A Real Guber" tm.:)
It takes skill, stealth, top quality gear and an iron will to take a trophy like that. Not just anybody can do it.

Nice trophy there! I have seen one of those at distance here in Texas but never had a shot. Maybe this year will be the year!
