So the stock on my Savage 10FP is...not the best. I want to replace it with something better,so the factory stock is my guinea pig for artistic enhancement. I simply drew up and cut a template, taped it over the stock, and lightly sprayed it with black oven paint. Yeah,I know, not very tactical these days but I had it handy. The black on black gives it a really cool phantom effect.

The rifle shoots great too...after I got the scope dialed in,my best group off of sandbags was 7/8" at 100 yards with Georgia Arms 150 gr. FMJ. Not bad for a rookie, huh?

The oven paint you probably know was not the best paint to use. You can't heat the polymer hot enough for the paint to cure. It can probably be easily remove because it hasn't cured. The Aluma-Hyde II paint from Brownells would have been best.

For a replacement stock take a look at Bell & Carlson Vertical Grip Tactical Medalist Series with full length aluminum bedding block. around $199 nice stock for the money and more.

Krylon Fusion, if you clean the surface well and allow proper set time, will work perfectly. :)
