Cant seem to find any good poop on this round. Hand loading for Spfld M1A. Anyone? (Using RE15) Info appreciated.

I have a very tight chambered M1A Supermatch. I shot the 155 AMax for about a year. I think the long bearing surface drives up pressure, so if you use 155 Sierra data, you'll need to back off 1-2grs.

155AMax 2.845"
41.0gr IMR4895
WLR
LC90 case
I got about 2850 FPS out of this.

you would prob have better results posting this in the reloading section rather than rifle country

Cant seem to find any good poop on this round.You must not have looked in the most logical place to find it.

The Hornady #6 manual has a whole chapter devoted to loading the 7.65 x 51mm NATO for the M1A rifle.

They list 11 different powders for the 155 gr. A-Max bullet alone, including RL-15.
