Are you seeing alot of brass being worked in the neck and shoulder areas of your brass when FL resizing? Is anyone using a neck only die in these older rifles and if so how long does your brass last? Is it any longer than the fl only guys?

I neck size for my Swedish M96. I full length size every few reloads on the brass just like I would with any other rifle when it begins difficult to turn the bolt on because the shoulder has moved forward too much due to several firings.

As with my other rifles (modern and surplus), I have no problems with brass life because I don't set the full length sizing die too far down. Only screw it down just enough to bump the shoulder back just enough for the headspace of the rifle.

I neck size primarily also, so not much working of the brass. I've tried partially sizing, and using Lee's collet neck sizing die. I prefer the neck sizing die. I've seen 4 to 5 neck sizings before full length sizing was needed.

My wife and I have our own m/96s. We use different brands of brass, so segregating the brass is not a problem.
