Wow, not too many responses here huh? Oh well, thanks Setzer77 for the pic. Not sure, but I think there is a company that makes a "shortie" pistol gripper based on the Mossy 500...are you aware of this gun?

Company you're thinking of is "Serbu" I believe.

I'll get some pics of mine and post em up.

The general concensus is that for accurate shooting you need a full stock---that's why you aren't seeing very many pistol gripped guns.

Not much support for PG's on this forum----more Hollywood hype than practical git er done shooting.

I'd love to show you pics of my pistol gripped shotguns. I bought 2 Winchester 1300's, at seperate times, that both had pistol grips on them. Fortunately for me, one included the original wood stock set, which I promptly put back on. As for the other one, it's currently leaning against a wall, stockless, waiting for me to finally buy a stock for it. As for the pistol grips themselves, well, they got eaten by the eBay machine and I know not where they are.

If you can't tell, I'm not a big fan of pistol grips. That'll change slightly if I finally make the Mad Max gun that I've been planning, but I can't stand them on a full size gun. Too Rambotastic for me. :)

I don't mind shotguns with a full stock and pistol grip (like an AR-15 or an AK is configured). I've got an 870 that sometimes wears a Knoxx Copstock folder. It can be fired from the folded position, but it doesn't really help accuracy. It doesn't cause me any extra pain, but shooting from the hip (which is how you shoot a PGO sg) doesn't do much for accuracy, which matters with a shotgun.

Well to be honest with everyone here, I don't have much use for a PG shotgun either. Then again, I don't have any practical application for a Barret M107 either, but I still wouldn't mind owning one. Not necessarily into the tacticool stuff here, but there are a few things, such as PG shotguns that I think just look sweet is all. Thanks again to the contributing posters here folks...

You do not shoot a PGO shotgun from the hip. theres a technique to holding it infront of you and pulling and pushing at the same time, i believe.

Here's my Saiga 12, with 10 rd magazine, in an AK configuration:

I really like having a shotgun whose manual of arms is almost identical to my AK's!

Had one on the Maverick 88 back in '91 when I bought it off a fellow officer who was getting out and going to NYC.

Used it once at a American Legion turkey shoot and actually won (only had three pellets on the target paper.....one dead center).

Then I got smart and put a full length Mossberg stock on it and a Mossberg trigger group and set it up as my HD shotgun.
